I recently came across these beautiful ring door wreaths on Pinterest and Etsy and I instantly fell in love. But looking at the price tags had me soon falling out of love. Since I was not going to spend $75.00 or more on a door wreath I decided to recreate the look myself. I posted this photo below on Instagram and was flooded with requests on how to make it.
Things to Get
(I got mine from Michael’s, but you can get them anywhere)
(or a pair of really sturdy scissors)
Gather all of your supplies. I purchased 2 different green leaf stems and 2 different color peony floral stems for this wreath. I purchased mine at Michael’s but you can get floral stems basically anywhere. Walmart, Hobby Lobby, Joanne Fabrics, etc.
Using the wire cutters cut your stems to desired length. I put my leaf steam along the ring to measure how long I wanted them and then cut. I always cut longer then I will actually need so I have more length then not enough.
Place green stems along both sides of ring. Use the craft wire and wrap around the stems and the ring several times to secure. At the end to twist and weave back into the wire a couple more times.
Place the floral stems in the middle. For this wreath I started with white one and centered it. Wrapped some of the stem around the ring and then secured it more with the craft wire. I added the other peonies next to he center one and secured the same.
Hang on door (or anywhere you want) and marvel at the beautiful wreath you just made!
So there you have it, one easy way to create your own home decor wreath. If you loved this DIY, share away!
