Pregnancy insomnia has been kicking my butt these last few weeks. Sleep has become something that I want to do all the time but yet when 1230 am or 3 am role around I am wide awake. Maybe pregnancy insomnia is our bodies way of preparing us for when the real sleepless nights begin after the baby comes but all this mama really wants right now is a full nights sleep.
So what do I do when I am wide awake at night and everyone else is sleeping? Well I do what any other person would at that hour, peruse Facebook. Seriously some of the best posts get posted in the middle of the night when people have been drinking and make poor decisions about what is appropriate to share to their closet friends and family (all 871 of them). However, as entertaining as those posts are they are not the topic of discussion today. I stumbled upon a post from Pop Sugar Fitness that caught my eye the other night. The title was “9 things to cut out of your life to be healthy” and mentioned that none of those 9 things included gluten or sugar. Since I love my carbs and have no intention of giving them up to be healthier, I decided to read on. (Link to the article is below the picture from the article, which is definitely not me.)
