We have been enjoying our summer break up here in Maine. The days have been nice and long letting us spend many hours outside playing. I tend to limit screen time for my kids, even more so in the summer, and encourage as much outdoor play as we can. Since Hayden can pretty much entertain himself with all the other kids in the neighborhood, it leaves Avery as the odd toddler out. In our attempts to entertain Avery, we have found the best outdoor toys for toddlers to keep her busy and entertained.
One of our fav toys has been the water table. Avery can splash around in the water without getting too wet and she can spend hours putting her toys in and taking them out. Plus the older kids get in on the play as well.
There are so many options for water tables for kids. You can find the one I have HERE.
More options can be found HERE, HERE and HERE.
Kids love to dig and play in the sand. There are so many different variations of this sandbox but I love the ones that also offer sun protection for the kiddos. Check HERE for Little Tykes sand box for a more simplistic version and click the picture below for one with sun coverage.
Bubble machines are always a fun way to keep toddlers entertained. Check out this one HERE available at Walmart or click the picture below to check out one available on Amazon.
This is something new (to me anyways) that can cool the kids off and keep them entertained.
Kid’s garden Tool set
We have a garden at our house and the one things that the kids love to do is dig in the garden. Giving them their own tool set as an outdoor toy can really get them involved. HERE is one from Amazon that includes safety edges and a carrier bag.
Avery is obsessed with her little Tykes Car and we get many hours of entertainment out of this outdoor toy.
You can find one HERE and HERE.
Bean Bag Toss
What better way then to entertain toddlers then by giving them bags to throw at things. Check out the options HERE and HERE.
Outdoor Play Tent
How cute is this play outdoor camping and tent set up? This is another great outdoor toy for toddlers to keep them busy.
Outdoor Aqua Doodle Mat
Take the coloring outside with the aqua doodle mat. Find one HERE and HERE.
A swing at home is a great way to keep your toddler entertained outside this summer. The little Tykes swing is a great choice.

Super cool outdoor toys for toddlers. With their short attention span, it’s quite a challenge to keep toddlers entertained. These are great options for tons of fun.

I love that little pink car. I had one similar to it when I was just a child. And I’m so glad to see the beanbag toss game on your list. Everyone loves that game.
My nephew has one of those little play splash pool things and he just loves it so much! It’s so fun to watch him interact with it!

Those look so awesome there. I think the water table would be the most thing for my daughter when she was that age. She would have loved it.

Such cute toys for kids during summer! A play car is a must have! I never thought about a water table but I’m really loving the idea. It can surely help keep the kids cooler as they have water games.
