Everything feels so fresh and possible when the New Year comes around. I just love setting resolutions or what I like to call goals, for myself in the new year. I tend to set at least a couple of big goals as well as smaller, easier goals to work on throughout the year. If you haven’t already checked out my post on How to Crush your New Year’s Goals check it out now to get ideas on how to stay on track all year long.

In the meantime, here are 25 easy New Year’s Resolutions that even the busiest of person can work on throughout the year.

1. Drink 8 glasses of water a day

Or more if you can! Wondering why water is so important to the body, here are 16 Reasons Why Water is Important.

2. Workout at least 30 min 3/week

3. Shop with cash rather then charging

4. Eliminate soda

And if you want to get more serious, eliminate processed sugar totally from your diet

5. Pay off at least one debt

Throw a little extra money towards that bill each month

6. Meal plan at least 3-5 meals a week

To help you get started check out BUSY BUDGETER for meal planning made easy.

7. Get rid of clothes you don’t wear

You know that dress in the back of your closet that you haven’t worn in 10 years, get rid of it.

8. Get rid of clothes your child doesn’t wear

Same for your kids!

9. Clean out old toys

I’m looking at you 100000 piece Lego sets.

10. De-clutter your home

You’ll feel so much better when you live a more minimalist lifestyle

11. Give up negative feelings

They are only dragging you down

12. Cut out toxic people

These people will also bring you down

13. Read at least 1 book a month

So many good ones out there. Grab one and dive in then share them with me if you love it!

14. Save more money

Try and save at least $150.00/month.

15. Try one new workout a month

Hot yoga, Pilates, cycling, or CrossFit. Whatever you have thought about trying for a workout, now is the time to get out there and give it a go.

16. Eat cleaner foods

This goes along with cutting out sugar. Wondering what clean eating is? 7 Tips for Clean Eating to get you started.

17. Try one new fun activity with your kids a month

18. Spend more time with friends

Life can be so busy sometimes but try and take some time to reach out more to friends and spend more time with them.

19. Limit social media use

This is one that I am working on myself.

20. Get more sleep

Or attempt to because we all know #momlife and life in general can be exhausting!

21. Prioritize skin care

Especially washing your face prior to bed time.

22. Limit alcohol consumption

23. Become more organized

This is a big one I am going to be working on.

24. Stop comparing yourself to others

Everyone has a different journey in life and you need to stop comparing yours to someone else’s.

25. Let go of the stuff you can’t control

This is my number one goal for this year. Thinking too much about or being overly upset about things you can’t control can just bring you down. I want to start my new year fresh and let go of the things that upset me in the past.

Let me know what is on your resolution list this year!
